Twist Banners Used to Show JCT600’s Support for Tour de France

The Tour de France is a globally recognised sporting event that is coming to Yorkshire during 2014. This presents an amazing opportunity for the county and the companies within it to really show their support.

The Yorkshire based motor group JCT600 has partnered with Welcome to Yorkshire joining their prestigious Y30 Club, to provide courtesy vehicles to enable their Welcome to Yorkshire promotional tours. They asked Portfolio Display to develop a solution to help show their support and to provide some information on the Tour de France’s cycle routes.

After some initial discussions it was decided the Twist Banners would be the perfect setup. The benefits of this system is that the banners are flexible so they can literally twist round the corners of a room, using flexi-link kits. This helps to maximise the space within a room rather than it being taken up with bulky display equipment. The system also looks perfectly smooth and flat, even though its made up of 5 individual sections.

Portfolio Display were also involved in the design process that shows how JCT600 will support the event and the cycle routes of the 2 stages of the race . You can clearly see all the Yorkshire towns the race will pass through, which includes our town Elland, which is set right in the heart of the Pennines. Nothing really ever happens in Elland, so we’re extremely excited that such a prestigious event will pass through our town.

The Tour de France is seen as the world’s greatest cycle race, starting on the 5th & 6th July 2014. The event looks set to bring millions of fans close to the Yorkshire roadside. This is Yorkshire’s opportunity to welcome the world and show them the glorious landscapes we have to offer.
