Support for Huddersfield University for Large Print Project

At Portfolio Display we have a close relationship with the University of Huddersfield and the Design courses. Over the years we have offered work placements for many students, giving them vital hands on experience within the work place.

This year we were happy to sponsor and print, a 20m graphic wall to showcase their best product design projects. This was exhibited at ‘New Designers’ – the UK’s premier exhibition for emerging design talent.

We produced over thirty, 2.5m high printed Foamex boards that would eventually make up the 20m graphic wall. As you can see from the images the end result was a stunning, large format display that really helped the students of Huddersfield University to stand out from the crowd.

We’d like to say a special well done to Kieran Lai who was a placement student with Portfolio Display last year. Kieran gained a first class honor’s degree for his Design course.

David Swan, a course leader had this to say.
“Thanks to the print expertise and generous sponsorship of Portfolio Display, the high-impact nature of our 20m graphic wall to showcase product innovations cut through the visual ‘noise’ of the other stands. Strong print and visual communication also drew the eye of the judges for the ‘Mars Award for design thinking’ and led to Huddersfield University student James Benson claiming the top prize for his innovative Bottle Buoy project.”
