What does selling Gourmet Burgers have to do with Marketing Cars?

Hi, my name is Rob Walker and around 15 years ago, I started helping Dealers, Groups and Manufacturers, to make improvements to their advertising materials.

You see I’ve seen what works and what doesn’t along the way.

I’ve been involved in some pretty cool and complex projects, helping the largest Motor Groups across the UK to professionally present their dealerships.

Image is everything…and

First impressions are everything…

Get either of those 2 wrong, and your customers are potentially not going to buy from you!

One of the biggest failures I see across dealer’s forecourts is their lack of consistency with their advertising materials.

 

To give you another example – in a completely unrelated industry;

A few years back, a new restaurant opened up local to my home, selling high end gourmet burgers named Pax in Huddersfield. (Note: I have no affiliation with this company)

Their brand was everywhere right from the start, on their advertising, burger wraps, the bags, wet wipes, leaflets, posters, crayons – you simply couldn’t miss it.

To top things off – they also delivered an amazingly good product. Just a few years on, they’ve won best Takeaway / Restaurant in Yorkshire.

There’s a reason for this, they created a brand that everyone wanted to try and be a part of. I see no reason why Automotive companies of all sizes shouldn’t follow suit.

You don’t have to be a multi-billion £ motor group, you may be like Pax, a smaller company serving the local people.

But either way, if you build a great brand and reputation people will come, and then return again and again.

It was moments like these, that I decided I had to help my Automotive clients improve their marketing materials.

Now I’ve been involved in sales and marketing for well over 15 years and I understand that not everyone has a marketing background.
